Project 1139: Water Operations Technical Competency Benchmark 

Join the project team behind Project 1139 for an overview of the project outcomes and final benchmark.

Project 1139 was a collaboration between water utilities, regulators, and water associations to develop technical competency benchmarking tools to standardise water industry operator training. The project resulted in a nationally recognised benchmark that aligns training with job roles and responsibilities.

The benchmark was piloted across a variety of utilities and further refined with input from industry and regulators.

This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the project outcomes, including the final benchmark and auditing tool. The benchmark and auditing tool will support the critical role that water industry operators play in protecting public health and the environment, through more appropriate and consistent training and technical competency programs and activities.
