Project 1139: Technical Competency Benchmark for Water Industry Operators |
 Part B

Join the project team behind Project 1139 for an overview of the project outcomes.

Project 1139 Part B was a collaboration between water utilities, regulators, and water associations to develop technical competency benchmarking tools to standardise water industry operator training. The project resulted in a nationally recognised benchmark that aligns training with job roles and responsibilities.

During the development of the competency benchmark, the research highlighted the need to better understand how operator critical thinking and problem-solving skills are applied during decision-making. The team also focused on how we can turn incidents into learning experiences. This led to a project variation in order to learn from the experience of seasoned operators and identify the training required to effectively develop these skills.

This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the project outcomes, including a summary of operator surveys, Decision Ladder, and Case Study templates to support new and developing operators.

This event is FREE and exclusively for WaterRA members. We encourage our Utility and Regulatory members to attend.
